A Hazlet Financial Advisor Who Stays in Touch

We help individuals, couples, families and business owners with financial planning, retirement planning, investment management and life insurance consulting. What We Help With

We cover the full picture: wealth management, financial advising, financial planning, investment management, retirement planning, legacy planning, tax management and life insurance consulting. We hold Series 7 and SIE credentials and are licensed to sell life insurance. Most clients start with one question, like when they can retire, and find the other pieces connect to it. We build one plan that ties them together instead of handing you separate products.

  • Advisor in a navy blazer points to charts in a printed binder while a couple listens across a wood conference table, with an overcast parking lot visible through the window

    Wealth Management

One advisor looking at your investments, insurance, taxes and legacy together, with scheduled reviews that keep the plan current.

  • Three people at a dark wood conference table with printed pie charts, a tablet and a calculator, looking at a wall screen showing a pie chart and bar graphs

    Financial Advising

Straight answers on a specific money question, like a 401(k) rollover, a debt plan or an insurance policy, with a check-in later to see how it's working.

  • Advisor and couple seated at a wood conference table reviewing a printed planning sheet with a chart, pens in hand, an open laptop and yellow notepad nearby

    Financial Planning

A written financial plan that lays out where your money goes, what you're saving for and what to do next, with check-ins after it's done.

  • Advisor holding a printed summary with pie and bar charts beside a client at a wood desk, with two monitors showing portfolio line graphs and allocation charts

    Investment Management

We build and run a portfolio around your goals, then check back on a set schedule to explain what changed and what, if anything, you should do.

  • Advisor at a round wood office table pointing a pen at a bar chart while an older couple with coffee mugs looks on

    Retirement Planning

A clear plan for turning savings into a paycheck in retirement, with Social Security timing, withdrawal order and regular check-ins once you stop working.

  • Advisor in a blue shirt points a pen at a family tree diagram while a couple reviews printed forms at a round wood table in a quiet conference room

    Legacy Planning

We line up your accounts, beneficiaries and life insurance so what you leave goes where you mean it to, then check back as your family changes.

  • Advisor and client seated at a wood desk reviewing tax forms, with a laptop showing a spreadsheet and an adding machine in a private office with a window and bookshelf

    Tax Management

We plan when to sell, where to hold investments and how to draw income so less of your wealth goes to taxes, then check back as the rules and your life change.

  • Advisor in a light blue shirt points a pen at a wall screen showing charts while two women take notes at a wood conference table with reports and a laptop

    Life Insurance Consulting

We work out how much coverage your family needs, compare term and permanent options, and check the policy with you as your life changes.

How We Work With Clients

A plan is only useful if someone keeps an eye on it. Here is what you can expect from us, from the first meeting through the years that follow.

We come back once the plan is set
Setting up accounts is not the end of the job. We schedule check-ins, look at what moved in your portfolio and your life, and tell you whether anything needs to change. If nothing does, we say so.
Straight answers, even when it's no
Sometimes the right advice is to leave things alone or skip a product. We tell you that plainly. You should leave every meeting knowing what we recommend and why.
One plan, not a pile of accounts
Investments, retirement income, taxes, insurance and your legacy all affect each other. We look at them together, so a move in one place does not quietly cause a problem in another.
We start with what you already have
Before suggesting anything new, we review your current accounts, workplace retirement plan and any life insurance you own. Often the best step is fixing how existing pieces fit together.
You know how to look after it
We explain what to watch between meetings, like beneficiary forms following a marriage or a big change in income. Small habits keep a long-term plan on track.

About Financial Advisor Hazlet

We are a financial advisory practice working with people in Hazlet and the towns around it. Our clients include people early in their careers, families with kids, business owners and retirees. What they share is wanting someone to explain their money in plain words and keep watching it over time.

Most problems we see did not start with a bad decision. They started with a good plan that nobody looked at again. An old beneficiary form, a portfolio that drifted too far into stocks, a policy that no longer fits. That is why the follow-up matters to us as much as the first plan.

We keep things simple. We talk like regular people, we put recommendations in writing and we pick up the phone when you have a question.

What Moves the Price of Our Work

Fees vary because every client brings a different set of needs. A young couple saving for a first child needs different work than a retiree drawing income from three accounts. Here is what pushes the cost up or down.

We go over how we are paid, in plain terms, at the introductory meeting. You will know what the work involves and what it costs before you commit to anything.

How many goals and accounts
One retirement account and one goal is simpler than several brokerage, IRA and workplace accounts spread across two spouses. More pieces mean more review and more coordination.
One-time plan or ongoing management
Some clients want a written financial plan they carry out themselves. Others want us managing investments and checking in through the year. Ongoing work is priced differently than a single project.
Business ownership
Owning a business adds questions about retirement plans for owners, cash flow and what happens to the business later. That takes more time to sort out.
Insurance needs
If a plan calls for life insurance, the type of policy and the coverage amount shape how we are paid. We explain that before you decide anything.
Legacy and estate questions
Blended families, trusts and gifts to children or charities take extra planning. We also coordinate with your attorney when documents need drafting.

How Working With Us Runs

Every client goes through the same basic steps. The pace depends on you.

  1. 1

    Introductory meeting

We meet in our office, or over the phone or a video call. Bring whatever is on your mind. We walk you through our approach and our fees, and nothing has to be decided that day.

  2. 2

    Gathering the facts

We ask for recent statements, tax returns, insurance policies and any workplace benefit details. This shows us where you actually stand, not just where you think you stand.

  3. 3

Building and walking through the plan

We put together a written plan and go through it line by line. You can ask anything. Nothing moves forward until it makes sense to you.

  4. 4

    Putting it in place

We open or move accounts, set up investments and handle any insurance applications you choose. We tell you what paperwork to expect and when.

  5. 5

    Checking back

Once everything is set up, we schedule regular reviews. We look at results, talk through life changes and explain any adjustment before we make it.

Questions Clients Ask

What happens at the introductory meeting?

You tell us about your goals, your worries and the accounts you hold now. We describe our approach and our fees in plain terms. By the end you should have a good sense of whether we fit, and nobody will push you to sign.

How are you paid?

It depends on the services you choose, and we explain it at the first meeting. Some work is paid as an advisory arrangement, and some products, like life insurance, pay us a commission. If a recommendation pays us, we tell you that up front.

How often will we meet once the plan is set up?

We set a regular review schedule with you, and we also reach out when something important changes, like a market drop or a new tax rule that affects you. You can call any time you have a question or a life change, such as a new job, a marriage or a death in the family.

Do I need a lot of money to work with you?

No set number is required to start a conversation. Good planning matters at every stage, and some of the most useful advice happens before a portfolio gets large. If what we offer is not a good match for your situation today, we will say so plainly at the first meeting.

Do you handle taxes?

Our tax management work focuses on planning decisions that affect your taxes, like which accounts to draw from in retirement or when to realize gains. We are glad to coordinate with your CPA or tax preparer so everyone is working from the same plan.

Can you review the life insurance I already have?

Yes. We look at what you own, what it costs and whether it still matches your family's needs. Sometimes the answer is to keep it as is. We only suggest a change when it clearly helps you.

Does New Jersey's inheritance tax affect my family?

It can, depending on who inherits. Spouses, children and grandchildren are generally exempt, while siblings, nieces, nephews and friends may owe tax. We review this during legacy planning and work with your attorney on the documents.
