About Our Financial Advice Practice in Hazlet

We help individuals, couples, families, business owners and retirees make decisions about their money and then stick with them. A plan is only useful if it keeps up with your life. So we set it up with you, explain how to look after it, and check back on a schedule.

Why We Work This Way

A lot of people have been through it. They sit down with someone, get a thick binder or a new account, and then hear nothing until something goes wrong. The plan was fine on the day it was made. A year later, nobody checked whether it still fit.

We think the follow-up is half the job. Your income changes. A child starts college. You sell a business, inherit an account, or get closer to retirement than you expected. Markets move and tax rules shift. Each of those can pull a portfolio or a financial plan off course without anyone noticing.

So we build the check-in into the work from the first meeting. Before we finish setting anything up, we agree on when we will talk next and what we will look at. You leave knowing what to watch for on your end, and which changes in your life mean you should pick up the phone sooner.

How We Work With Clients

  • Plain answers first

We explain what we recommend and why, in everyday words. If something costs you money, we say how and how much before you agree to it. If a simpler option fits your goals better, we tell you that too.

  • A set schedule for check-ins

Every client gets a review rhythm that fits their situation. For some that is a yearly sit-down. For others, such as people a few years from retirement, it is more often. We put the next date on the calendar before you leave.

  • Instructions for the in-between

We tell you what to keep an eye on between meetings. That can mean updating beneficiaries after a marriage, flagging a large bonus before year end, or calling us before you touch a retirement account. Small things like these are where plans tend to slip.

  • Notes you can keep

After each meeting you get a short written summary of what we decided and what comes next. If your spouse or adult children need to understand the plan, they can read it and know where things stand.

Where We Meet Clients

We meet clients at our office in Hazlet, or by phone and video if that is easier. Many of the people we work with live in nearby towns like Keyport, Matawan, Holmdel, Middletown, Aberdeen, Keansburg, Union Beach, Morganville, Strathmore and Laurence Harbor. Video works well for check-ins, and for family members who live farther away but want to be part of the conversation.

Start With a Conversation

The first step is an introductory meeting. We talk about where you are, what you want your money to do, and how our check-ins would work for you. You can decide from there.
