Wealth Management in Hazlet

Wealth management means one person looks at the whole picture: your investments, retirement accounts, insurance, taxes and what you want to leave your family. We build the plan with you, put it to work, then keep checking back so it still fits as your life changes.

One plan for money that lives in many places

Most people we sit down with have money in four or five places. A 401(k) from an old job. An IRA. A brokerage account. A life policy through work. A savings account that quietly grew too big. Each one made sense when it was opened. Nobody ever looked at how they work together.

That is the job here. We gather it all, match it to your goals and set one long-term plan for growing it, protecting it and passing it on. It fits clients with several accounts to track, business owners whose personal and company money overlap, and couples getting close to retirement.

The part clients tell us they missed elsewhere is what comes after. Once the plan is in place, we book regular reviews, explain what changed and why, and tell you what to watch between meetings.

What our wealth management covers

A full account inventory

We put every account, policy and debt on one page. You see what you own, what each piece costs in fees and where your holdings overlap.

An investment strategy you can live with

We set a mix that matches your timeline and how much market swing you can stomach. Our Series 7 and SIE licenses let us handle the securities side ourselves, so you are not handed off to someone else. Our Investment Management page goes deeper on how we run a portfolio.

A check on your protection

We look at whether your life coverage still fits your family, your debts and your income. We can place a policy under our own life insurance license when one is needed. When the coverage you hold already does the job, we say that straight out and leave it alone.

Tax-aware decisions

Which account to draw from first, when to sell, which investments belong in taxable versus tax-deferred accounts. We work alongside your accountant, not in place of them.

Retirement and legacy pieces

An income plan for retirement, current beneficiaries and a clear picture of what passes to whom. Retirement Planning and Legacy Planning cover these in more detail.

Scheduled reviews

We put check-ins on the calendar from the start. After each one you get a short note on what we adjusted and what to keep an eye on.

Signs it is time for wealth management

Your accounts are scattered
Old 401(k)s, a couple of IRAs, a brokerage account you rarely open. If you can't say what you own in one sentence, it is time to pull it together.
A big change just happened or is close
An inheritance, the sale of a business, retirement within the next ten years, a death or a divorce. These are the moments when small mistakes cost the most.
You don't know what you pay
Fund expenses, account fees and advisory fees add up. If nobody has shown you the total, ask.
Beneficiaries haven't been touched in years
Beneficiary forms override a will. An old form can send money somewhere you never meant it to go.
Nobody checks in
If the only time you hear from an advisor is when there is something to buy, you are missing the part that keeps a plan working.

How it works, start to finish

  1. 1

    A first conversation

Sit down with us in person, or talk it through over a phone or video call if that is easier. We ask about your goals, your family and your timeline. Recent statements help if you have them, but you can come empty-handed.

  2. 2

    Gather and review

We collect statements, policies and your latest tax return, then lay everything out side by side. This is where overlaps, idle cash and outdated coverage usually turn up.

  3. 3

    Plan walk-through

We go over a written plan in plain language: what we would change, what we would leave alone and why. You decide what moves forward.

  4. 4

    Put it in motion

We handle account transfers, rebalancing and beneficiary updates. Before each step happens, we tell you what it is and why, so nothing catches you off guard.

  5. 5

    Check back

We meet on a set schedule, and sooner if life changes. After each review we tell you how to keep the plan on track, like how much to save, the cash cushion to hold and which events should prompt a call to us.

What moves the cost

What you pay depends on how much we manage and how much work your situation takes. We explain exactly how we are paid in writing before you move a single account. You will know what you pay and what it buys.

Assets we manage
Ongoing management is usually tied to the size of the accounts we oversee. More accounts and larger balances change the math.
How complex your finances are
A business, rental property, stock options or income from several sources take more planning time than a couple of retirement accounts.
The products in the plan
Funds carry their own expenses, and insurance products pay commissions. We show you each one so nothing is buried.
How often we meet
Most clients do fine with scheduled reviews. Some situations call for closer contact during a busy stretch, like the year of a business sale.

Wealth management questions

How is wealth management different from financial planning?
Financial planning builds the roadmap. Wealth management builds it and then runs it with you over the years, including the investments, insurance and regular reviews. If you only want a plan to carry out yourself, our Financial Planning service may fit better.
Do I need a certain amount of money to start?
We would rather talk through your situation than turn you away over a number. In the introductory meeting we will tell you honestly whether full wealth management makes sense or whether financial advising or a one-time plan is the better fit for now.
Do I have to come to your office?
No. Clients meet us at the office, or by phone and video. Plenty of people in Holmdel, Middletown and Matawan do most of their reviews by video and come in only when they want to.
What happens after the plan is set up?
We stay on it. Reviews are booked ahead, and after each one we send a short summary of what changed and what to watch. If you get married, change jobs or sell a business, call us and we will adjust the plan then rather than waiting.
Will you push insurance on me?
No. We hold a life insurance license, which lets us place coverage when it is needed. We show you the numbers first. If your current coverage does the job, we say so and leave it alone.
Can I keep my accountant and attorney?
Yes, and we encourage it. We coordinate with them so your investments, taxes and estate documents point the same direction.
